Crowsnest Pass Heritage Story Maps
Rich in human history and complimented by a wealth of heritage resources, the Crowsnest Pass is a special place that breaths history. The Municipality has worked to develop a Heritage Survey Planning Study which culminated in the creation of the Crowsnest Pass Heritage Inventory Project. This Heritage Inventory Project wrapped up with our very own heritage story maps.

Design Guidelines: The Crowsnest Pass Historic District
Under the Land Use Bylaw 868, 2013, “Historic Commercial Overlay District” identifies the core historic commercial areas within the municipality: one in Coleman, one in Bellevue, and one in Blairmore. The standards for the historic commercial district requires that the design guidelines be considered in proposed development and renovations, or modification to structures within the historic commercial districts. These guidelines (and the district) are intended to enhance the overall character of the historic districts and preserve the unique identity of the districts themselves.
