Municipal Clean Up

The Municipality provides several services and programs to keep our community clean.  We ask everyone to please dispose of their waste properly.

What Can I do to Help?

  • Residents are encouraged to help out by simply picking up litter and debris in and around their own property.  Litter or garbage on private property is the responsibility of the property owner.
  • The Municipality provides year round solid waste collection for residents along with providing the Community Clean-up Program, Toxic Roundup, Large Item for Seniors, and the Community Yard Waste Site.  The Crowsnest Pincher Creek Landfill accepts solid waste which the Municipality pays the tipping fees for residents if under 500kg.

There is no limit to the number of trips any person can make to the clean-up.
This program allows residents to drop off all household items as well as large items such as furniture, tires, fence boards, or appliances; fridges and freezers containing Freon will be charged a $30.00 fee that must be purchased in advance at the Municipal Office prior to bringing to the site. If you have any questions regarding the type of items that will be accepted, please call 403-563-2220.

Spring Street Sweeping

June 7, 2023 Update
Street Sweeping continues in Blairmore. Currently the street sweeper is at 129 Street on the North side of the tracks and moving west. This is anticipated to take approximately one week to complete and then the sweeper will move to the north side of the tracks and move west to east. Once street sweeping in Blairmore is complete, the sweeper will move to Coleman.
As the Street Sweeping crews move into the residential areas and from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, signs will be posted in the area the day before street sweeping is expected to commence. Residents are asked to move their vehicles from the road when street sweeping is happening in your area. We also ask if you could kindly pass the word on to any neighbours who may not have received notification that the sweepers are in the area.
Please keep an eye out for street sweeping equipment, and use caution when travelling near them.
Please obey any "No Parking" signs.

BOULEVARD CLEANING

Please be advised that boulevard cleaning will not be done by the Municipal crews as the equipment is too heavy to be on the boulevards and causes damage.
Please rake your boulevard prior to the scheduled sweeping.
