Water Main Inspections & Repair in South Bellevue

Utilities crews are starting water main inspections this week in South Bellevue following a report of a possible underground leak.

This is one of six locations identified through our ongoing leak detection and water conservation work. In this area, the leak isn’t visible at the surface. Because Bellevue is built over historic mine shafts, water often seeps into the ground instead of surfacing, which makes detection more complex.

Crews are inspecting an existing water line. Once the inspection is complete, there may be water service interruptions. We’ll share more information about the extent and location of any disruptions as soon as we know more.
