Public Hearing Notifications & Public Participation
Public Hearing Notifications
In accordance with provincial legislation, Public Hearing Notices must be advertised for at least two weeks before the scheduled hearing date. The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass ensures that these notices are publicly available by posting them:
-
On this website (see below for active notices)
-
In the local newspaper
Each notice contains relevant details about the hearing and may include a link to 'Schedule A':
-
For administrative amendments to the Land Use Bylaw, Schedule A will link to the proposed text amendments.
-
For zoning-related amendments, Schedule A refers to a map that illustrates the proposed zoning change. No additional documentation accompanies these notices unless stated.
Any further supporting documents or related information will be provided as downloadable links at the bottom of the website notice.
The proposed bylaw (Schedule A) can also be made available for in-person review at the municipal office during regular business hours.
Note: All supporting documents for bylaws being proposed to Council, including those scheduled for a Public Hearing, are included in the Council Meeting Packages prior to first reading. These packages are available on the Council Meetings page of the website (made available to the Public the Monday before the scheduled meeting here)
