  • Pass Powderkeg Mountain Bike Trails offer everything from beginner-friendly singletrack to expert downhill at the Jay Hoots‑designed Bike Park—just bring your gear; no uphill transport provided.

  • The Crowsnest Community Trail spans 23 km across the region, linking town centres, scenic riverbanks, heritage sites like the Frank Slide Centre and Bellevue Mine, and interpretive kiosks—all on a non-motorized, mixed asphalt, gravel, and natural surface.

  • Across six communities—Bellevue, Blairmore, Coleman, Frank, and Hillcrest—numerous parks and playgrounds feature amenities like fully accessible play areas, ball fields, spray parks, tennis courts, gazebos, picnic areas, and more. Popular spots include Bellevue Memorial Park, Fireman’s Park, Flumerfelt Spray Park, and Hillcrest Miners Playground.

  • Enthusiasts can also visit the Bike Skills Park in Blairmore, with pump tracks, dirt jumps, and progressive lines.

Whether you’re in the mood for a scenic family outing or an adrenaline‑fueled ride, Crowsnest Pass has something for everyone.

Parks and Playgounds

Nippon Institue of Technology Commemorative Plaza

Families that play together, stay together! Many of the parks and playgrounds are fully accessible and designed to fun for all ages. Some park amenities include tennis courts, barbecue pits, bathrooms, picnic and concession facilities, playground equipment, trails, ball diamonds, soccer fields, gazebos and water play.

Bellevue

  • Bellevue Memorial Park, 21330 25th Avenue: Park is fully accessible. Playground geared towards ages 2 – 12. Beautiful gazebo and benches and picnic tables for your enjoyment. Concession and bathrooms open during planned events.
  • Fireman's Park, 2210 - 111 Street: This park has a number of amenities, including a playground, mini golf course, horse shoe pits, washrooms, kitchen camp shelter, picnic area and large greenspace. This facility can be booked by contacting Randi-Lynn Rinaldi 403-707-8574.


Blairmore

  • Blairmore Lion's Park and Tennis Court, 11973 20th Avenue
  • Isabelle Sellon Ball and Soccer Fields, 19th Ave. and 126th Street

Community Walking Trails

The Crowsnest Community Trail is a 23 km, non-motorized route that connects the communities of the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass together. The trail is a combination of asphalt, gravel, and natural trail surfaces.

Use the route to travel between communities, visit local businesses, and tour incredible historical sites, such as the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre and the Bellevue Underground Mine. On the way, the trail takes you through stunning natural areas. Watch for wildlife along Crowsnest River, stop at the viewpoint overlooking Frank Slide and Turtle Mountain, and enjoy spectacular Crowsnest Pass vistas.

As you move between communities, stop at the trail interpretive kiosks to learn more about Crowsnest Pass’ amazing natural and cultural history.

Trail Etiquette:

  • This is a multi-use trail system.
  • Please respect other trail users.
  • Travel on the right-hand side.

Biker Etiquette:

  • Yield to pedestrians
  • Be audible
  • Pass on left when safe
  • Maintain control

Wildlife Safety:

  • Be BearSmart.
  • Learn what to do in a wildlife encounter.
  • Make noise and alert wildlife of your presence to avoid surprising wildlife.
  • Carry bear spray and know how to use it.
  • Call Fish and Wildlife with bear and cougar sightings.

Please:

  • No motorized use.
  • Respect the private land and grazing leases the trail crosses through and stay on trail.
  • When traveling on the Road and Trail Shared Route, stay on the right-hand side and pay attention to traffic.
  • Pack all garbage out.
  • Dogs must be leashed. Waste must be removed immediately.
