SPCA Animal Shelter

The Crowsnest Pass SPCA is located in Hillcrest and is open from 12:30 – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The SPCA can be contacted by phoning 403-564-4999, by email at office@cnpspca.ca, by mail at PO Box 725, Blairmore, AB, T0K 0E0, or by accessing their face book page.

The Crowsnest Pass SPCA is a registered charitable organization with Alberta SPCA Approved Status. The main aim of the SPCA is to care for homeless or abandoned animals and place them into homes which are appropriate for each individual animal. The SPCA has an “open environment” allowing cats to roam freely in a home-type atmosphere. There are heated runs and a large play yard for the dogs. Primarily volunteer based, caregivers are available 7 days per week to clean, feed, walk and care for the animals in the shelter.

 

Animal Control

Animal Control in the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass is provided by the Community Peace Officer Program. 

Animal Control complaints (including animals running at large, excessive barking or lost animals) will be taken over the phone or in person at the Municipal Office from Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and forwarded to a Community Peace Officer for follow up.   Please contact the Municipal Office at 403-562-8833.  Should your complaint fall after hours or on weekends please contact the complaint line at 403-562-2021. Please ensure to leave all pertinent information for the investigation of the complaint: your name, phone number, address, and a full animal description.
