Highway #3 winds through the valley and provides the lowest elevating and shortest route to the West Coast. Highway #3 is the most dependable east-west all weather route in the Province. Our community is serviced by a mainline of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

The Municipal infrastructure covers the majority of the developed lands in our community with anticipated coverage of the remaining areas to the west with the construction of water and sewer services in 2007/08. The existing infrastructure is in very good condition with capacity for growth potential. The Municipality is fully Geographical Information System (G.I.S.) mapped providing answers to the most commonly asked questions including services locations and grade elevations.

Our Community offers excellent opportunities for those starting, building, operating or expanding their businesses. The Development officer and Building Inspector located at the Municipal office will provide information, business licences, permits and inspections.

The Crowsnest Pass Business Development Corporation and Crowsnest Pass Economic Development can assist with information and statistics required for your starting your business in the Crowsnest Pass as well as with business plans. The Business Development Corporation is a Community Futures Development Corporation under the sponsorship of Western DIversification Canada that can provide loan funding and business information to business in the Crowsnest Pass.
