FISHINGThe rivers and lakes of the Crowsnest Pass are home to rainbow, cutthroat, brook and bull trout and mountain whitefish. Serious fishermen rate the area as one of the finest in North America. A fisheries habitat enhancement program designed to offset the effects of the Oldman Dam, has created boulder gardens, deep pools and flow deflectors in sections of the Crowsnest River. The Oldman and Livingstone rivers are located north of Coleman on the Kananaskis Road, which provides access to other streams such as Dutch and Racehorse Creeks. South of the pass, Lynx Creek, Carbondale and Castle River areas can be reached on secondary roads or from the West Castle highway. All area rivers flow through private and leased land. Permission to enter must be sought from the owner. THE CROWSNEST ANGLER INC.
