This is a municipal-owned, family friendly community ski area located in the heart of the Crowsnest Pass.  Touted as the "Little Mountain that Could - Southern Alberta's Hidden Treasure ", Pass Powderkeg offers 15 runs with a vertical drop of 1200 feet, challenging skiers and snowboarder of all abilities.  With its comfortable and friendly atmosphere, extensive snow making and grooming, beginner ski area, terrain park, night skiing. ski school, equipment rentals and full service lodge, Pass Powderkeg has something for everyone.  Package deals and special events are offered through out the season.

Cross-Country Skiing

Allison/Chinook Recreational Area

Situated on and around the slopes of Mount Tecumseh are over 30 km of groomed trails for all levels of cross-country skiers.  The Allison-Chinook ski trail were developed in the late 1970's, using portions of an existing network of logging roads and seismic lines.  Other trails in the area were designed for the 1984 Alberta Winter Games.  The trails presently extent through the Deadman's Pass into British Columbia making this area one of the best cross country skiing areas in Canada.
